The club we know today as East Ballarat Cricket Club was founded at Millbrook, 15 kilometres east of Ballarat just prior to 1930. Known initially as Millbrook C.C., matches were played in a farm paddock close to the West Moorabool River at the foot of Black Hill. The first insight we have into the birth of our club is a 1932/33 season premiership cup won by Millbrook, an affiliated team with the Millbrook and District Cricket Association.
